The Bishop of Rochester, The Rt Rev Dr Jonathan Gibbs seeks a Bishop’s Chaplain


The post of Bishop’s Chaplain requires a minister of a mature faith, able to offer a range of skills appropriate to a wide-ranging, varied and responsible role.


We are looking for someone who will:

  •  Be of mature faith and spirituality.
  •  Have proven theological and liturgical expertise.
  •  Have excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills.
  •  Show ability to be at home in a variety of ecclesial settings and styles.
  •  Have the capacity and personality to relate appropriately to a wide range of people.
  •  Demonstrate flexibility, sensitivity and pastoral skills.
  •  Understand and be committed to the principles and practices of confidentiality.
  •  Have a clear understanding of safeguarding issues.
