On hearing the news of the death of HRH the Duchess of Kent, Bishop Jonathan Gibbs, the Bishop of Rochester, and Bishop Simon Burton-Jones, the Bishop of Tonbridge have said:
“We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Kent. We offer our sincere condolences to the Duke of Kent, his children and grandchildren, and all members of The Royal Family at this time of sadness and loss.
“We give thanks for the life of Her Royal Highness, and for the dedication and care she showed to so many areas, including music, young people, and sport, as well as her own personal Christian faith.
"May she Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory."
