15:30 | Serving our community schools | A conference on how to put the best into ministry to the schools in your parish.
Many of us have experience of ministry in church schools but this is less true in our community schools (that is, non-church schools).
When we don’t have an existing relationship with a school, it isn’t always easy to know how to create one without feeling that we are intruding. To generate trust from scratch. To offer ministry that will be valued and just right for the school.
As schools adjust to a new way of being and of learning, we have a chance to bolster and encourage them in their shared life. This wider support, mutually agreed, is going to be more important than perhaps ever before.
The Diocesan Board of Education is holding a webinar to look at just these questions, and more, using speakers with experience and wisdom in the area. |
