Safeguarding training online

Have you undertaken safeguarding training recently? The safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults in our churches is of upmost importance and attendance at training is a key element in delivering the Church of England’s policy statement Promoting a Safer Church.

The C0 online module  is recommended for anyone who needs a basic level of awareness of safeguarding and is now available to complete online. This includes vergers, choir members, refreshment helpers and bell ringers. In addition, C0 is a mandatory requirement for those undertaking modules C1, C2 and C3.
Module C1 is also available online. This course is required for anyone who has safeguarding responsibilities or who have contact with children, young people and/or adults who may be vulnerable. This includes but is not limited to safeguarding officers, safeguarding leads on PCCs, church wardens, helpers at activities, servers, and church administrative staff.
Details of how to access these courses are on the safeguarding pages of the Diocesan website.
