The Bishop of Rochester, the Rt Rev James Langstaff has given away Hot Cross Buns to early morning commuters at Meopham Station on Monday 15 April.

It is all part of his visit to the Cobham Deanery during the week leading up to Easter – which covers places such as Ash, Ridley, Cobham, Luddesdowne, Dode, Fawkham & Hartley, Longfield, Meopham and Nurstead.

He’ll be doing the same again on Wednesday and will also be taking part in a Question and Answer session about faith and the meaning of Easter on Friday, answering questions such as, ‘What’s good about Good Friday?’

Local vicar and Area Dean for Cobham, The Rev Canon Alyson Davie says:

“We are really excited to have Bishop James joining us, especially at such an important time in the Christian calendar as we prepare for Easter Sunday.

“This is great opportunity for us to meet the community and to invite them to join us at one Holy Week and Easter services.”
