Singing for Syrians

Singing for Syrians is a nationwide initiative offering a positive way to raise money for some of Syria’s most vulnerable people.

We are encouraging individuals, local communities, schools and churches across the UK to hold their own carol concert, so far as possible within the month of December. Last year the initiative raised just over £140,000 at over 100 events nationwide with thousands of people attending. This year our fundraising target is £200,000.

HOLD YOUR OWN

Helping is simple – we’d love you to hold your own concert or raise money at an existing one. A ‘Hold your own’ pack, full of helpful information, will be available to download or receive by post for anyone who would like to take part. Just log on to our website at http://www.singingforsyrians.com.

The digital and postal pack, available from September 2017, will include:

  • Flyers with details of where your money goes
  • Template service sheets for churches
  • Assemblies and help for schools
  • Advice on advertising and sponsorship

WHO ARE WE SUPPORTING?

Will the money go to Syria? Yes. Every penny raised will go to The Hands Up Foundation: http://www.handsupfoundation.org.
