New Vicar at St Mary, Platt

St Mary, Platt welcomed their new vicar on 30th May, when the Bishop of Rochester, the Rt Rev James Langstaff, assisted by the Archdeacon of Tonbridge, the Venerable Clive Mansell, Collated and Installed the Rev Lorraine Turner as the Vicar of St Mary the Virgin, Platt.

At the service, there were many words of welcome from church, community and civic leaders. Many of Lorraine Turner’s new parishioners were present, along with some who made the trip from her former parishes in Lincolnshire.

Lorraine’s new start at St Mary, Platt comes at the end of a week of change for her and her husband, Chris, who took up his duties on 24 May as Priest-in-Charge of the neighbouring parish of Borough Green.
