MU Projects in Rochester Diocese
Thames Gateway Women's Multi Faith Forum
The huge amount of housing with few facilities for young families in the Thames Gateway area prompted women from different faiths to get together and talk about their problems. We are learning from each other about our faith and culture and as we do so, we are sharing our problems and looking for answers together.
Away From It All Holidays
Families who have not been able to afford a holiday for a while may be offered a week away in a caravan in Kent.
Overseas Links
We have 7 overseas links: Ezo & Torit in the Sudan , Southern Malawi and Lake Malawi, Kindu in Congo , Ikale Ilaje in Nigeria and Canberra & Goulburn in Australia . We support them in prayer during the year, and especially the first week in July when we focus particularly on our links overseas. The Encompass magazine is full of information about members all round the world.
Prison Project
Members facilitate an MU branch in Cookham Wood Prison: other members help in the tea bar in the men's prison, visit prisoners on a one to one basis and others with Prison Fellowship are part of a Bible study group.
