Membership of the Mothers' Union
in the Diocese of Rochester
Membership is open to all who have been baptised
in the Name of the Holy Trinity and declare their support
for the Aim & Objectives of the Society.
Branch Members
The majority of MU members belong to a parish or deanery-based branch. They meet once a month for prayer and fellowship and often have a speaker on wide-ranging subjects including MU matters. They are an integral part of the parish family and often work in the parish.
Diocesan Members
Members who are at work, cannot get to a branch
meeting or do not wish to meet in a branch can be Diocesan Members. This involves receiving details of Diocesan meetings, Newsletter and
Home & Family magazine by post.
These members uphold the Aim & Objectives of
the MU and are enrolled in the usual way.
Indoor Members
Indoor Members are often those who have
been active members and can no longer get to meetings: members
who are disabled or carers of the disabled. Information and
cards on anniversaries are sent by post. They are a wonderful
prayer support to active members and have their own MU cycle
of prayer.
If you would like more information please
