    On Saturday 20 May Bishop James licensed our third cohort of 14 Licensed Lay Ministers. Their ministries vary widely – including working with elderly people in Anna Chaplaincies, community chaplaincy, preaching and teaching, hospital chaplaincy, debt advice, pastoral mission, working with refugees and other marginalised people, working with children and families, spirituality, healing and wholeness, and bereavement and funeral ministry.     Walk for Peace is a walk between Gillingham and Rochester, via Chatham. It is open to local people and others, striving for peace and unity across all the communities in Medway. The Walk aims to bring together people of different cultures and backgrounds, promote friendship and embrace positive, interfaith and secular relations through a common cause – peace.     Three of the six bells at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Ash, are 300 years old this year. We have chosen the weekend near our Patronal Festival, 23-25 June, for a weekend of celebrating.
