Welcome to the Rochester Diocesan Board of Education (RDBE).
The Board promotes Church of England based education and Christian personal development of young people and children in schools, parishes and universities in the Diocese of Rochester. We have a special responsibility for 89 Church of England schools within the Diocese, university chaplaincy in Medway and improving the quality of children’s work and youth work in the parishes. We work very closely with a wide range of partners in the Church and also in local government, representing the interests of Church of England schools on the Education Committees of four Local Authorities of Bromley, Bexley, Kent and Medway. In everything we do, we aim to serve our Lord Jesus Christ by serving others, and to honour God by the high standards of our work. Our mission is to be the Church of England in education within our Diocese.
