As a Diocese we are seeking to reach out to people in new housing areas with the good news of Jesus and his Kingdom.
In the Diocese of Rochester there are many new housing areas and in some places huge new developments are being proposed. A survey of the new housing areas was carried out in January 2010. Click here for the results.

Grants for Community Mission Champions
Grant funding is now available to anyone in the Diocese of Rochester who has new housing in their area. Each applicant has to be willing to act as a local community leader, helping the Church to engage with residents in new housing areas. Successful applicants will be known as Community Mission Champions. Grants of up to £500 will be available for small scale activities or creative ideas which are people-centered, helping to form networks, build relationships and strengthen community. Relationships and community are foundational in creating a context where the good news of Jesus and his Kingdom can be communicated.
