The Mission and Community Engagement team exists to promote and enable the missionary calling of the people of God to flourish in the Diocese of Rochester.



This is done through :

- Worship and prayer
- Training in sharing our faith
- Parish development
- The work of the Diocesan Evangelists
- Our work with ecumenical and inter-faith partners
- Our engagement with the worldwide church
- Cooperating with deaneries in the development of their 
- Mission & Community Engagement Plans

As well as being the Diocesan
Director of Mission and Community Engagement, Jean is Canon Missioner at Rochester Cathedral and the Warden of Evangelists. She heads up the team that teaches the Leading Your Church into Growth course and is supporting deaneries in developing their Mission and Community Engagement Plans.

Carol works on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Prebendal House from 9am – 1pm and 2pm-5pm.

John is the Team Vicar at St William, Walderslade, in the team ministry of Holy Trinity, South Chatham, which is a Local Ecumenical Partnership with the Methodist Church. John supports LEPs throughout the Diocese, in his role as Diocesan Ecumenical Officer.

David’s parents were missionaries, so his early years were spent overseas. As well as being Vicar of Kippington, Sevenoaks, he chairs the Diocesan Links Committee. We are linked with four Dioceses overseas; Estonia, Kondoa (Tanzania), Mpwapwa (Tanzania) and Harare (Zimbabwe).
