The
Rev Diane Rees is responsible for overseeing the Lay Training in the Diocese.
Currently her main focus is the development of a suite of programmes which will
lead to a Certificate in Theology and Ministry and which will be validated by
the University of Christ Church Canterbury. Eventually, this programme of courses
will incorporate the specific training for those who want to train as Readers,
Pastoral Assistants or Evangelists as well as doing a Certificate.
The Certificate will also be open to anyone wanting to grow in their faith and
develop theologically.
In addition, there are a variety of courses and one off days for those wanting
to explore things in a bit more depth but don’t want to do a validated
course and for those exploring their vocation, whether it be to an authorised
ministry or to be better equipped disciples.
